Dacor will not honor warranty

30" cooktop blew up

Internally something went wrong with cooktop. We have spent 9 days talking with support people and still no one coming to look at stove. People in service are nice but no one can find a repair man to come look at stovetop. We are in a sunburb of Dallas and not out of area .Terrible terrible service .They are in process to refund on this or so it seems but its not over yet 12 days so far in this and not sure how its going to end. Hopefully your in an area they have techs we have over 3 million living in area guess It's not big enough.

Very unsatisfied- Stay away drom Dacor products

Dacor Discontinued mftg of touch control component on 6 yr old $2,000 induction cooktop - 1 yr after warranty expired. They refer you to an company that repairs electronic board. You have to hire someone to remove, mail it, and reinstall. Total cost of repair of what was $120 part now exceeds $800. No choice but to replace with another brand. Will never purchase another dacor product and since they are now owned by Samsung, I will never purchase their product either.

Dissatisfied with warranty coverage

I have a Modernist Gas Cooktop, 36". The knobs continue to crack. I had 2 replaced (by some miracle) at no charge about 3-4 months ago. The knobs (that you turn the burners off and on with) are made of a very cheap plastic, and split. The Customer Service Dept states that they are not covered under warranty because they are cosmetic. Who are we kidding? At $50 a *** replacement. Afraid to see what it will take to replace a burner. This is totally unacceptable to me. cosmeticc

We have had the downdraft along with the Dacor cooktop for 2.5 years and paid $5824.15 for both units. Worked great until yesterday when it made a grinding noise and the vent refused to go up. I tried to get the part #DA-701336 and was told that it's been on back order for a year and no parts are scheduled to come from the factory at all since it was bought out by Samsung. VERY DISSATISFIED!!!!

Product does not work after only 5 years

We purchased a home with a 5 year old Dacor Discovery IQ Double Wall Oven. Model Number DYO230S.

Great looking and it has a very sophisticated and functionally rich digital control system. Problem is the digital control system does not work. The stove has a mind of its own and will just shut off for 24 to 48 hours and return to function randomly. Shutting the power off and turning it back on has no effect.

Dacor (Now Samsung) has been completely un-helpful. Bottom line response - tough. Product is no longer produced, replacement parts no longer in stock - "maybe there is a part on ebay" !@@#$$# Honest that is the answer. I have called parts companies who also complain about Dacor (now Samsung).

No luck. So we will now need to purchase a replacement product for anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 dollars. To replace a 5 year old - $8,000 product. It will not be a Dacor or Samsung product.

And I will do my best to put similar reviews on the internet wherever I can.

Also, before the oven went whacky we needed to replace two lightbulbs for the oven lights. I called Dacor parts they were very helpful.

However no delivery for weeks. When I called back I was told this is now a Samsung parts service and that the light bulbs would be more than double the cost.

Do not purchase a Samsung or Dacor product.

IQ software that operates Dacor wall oven will not function

I contact the Dacor agent every week and get the standard line that they still have no answer on when the parts will be available. They say the ticket is escalated, but won't explain what that means and what the process is for escalation, who is involved.

Called Dacor numerous times and got run around. Bounced between Dacor and Samsung, who bought Dacor.

Finally got an agent that escalated the ticket but it has been 6 weeks without any info on when the parts will be available. They offered to pay for the parts and labor but have no ETA on when the parts will be manufactured. I am at their mercy as I cannot find the one part anywhere.
There are two parts required, a relay board and an IQ Kit. The latter is discontinued and Dacor/Samsung has no replacement.

I have a $4300 oven that doesn't work and nobody from the manufacturer can help. The oven is just over 3 years old and a software problem makes it unusable and Dacor won't stand by their product and find a solution.

Many customer reviews complain of waiting months and longer with no resolution. I feel like the offer to pay for parts and labor was to placate me and there is no intention to ever supply either.

Horrible Followup, Product functions

The model I had installed 2 weeks ago is the one that replaced the Renaissance 27' which has a control panel that lights up every function button, temp settings are red and the clock is blue. My model, which I thought might have had a loose wire etc. does not light up at all except the clock which is a faint gray, and the temp numbers as well but fainter. The explanation the service tech was given, because he could not find anything wrong was that on my model Samsung decided to not have the panel lit! What I've been trying so far with no success, is to let Dacor's HQ that all the stores, brochures, websites, etc all show a lit panel. I'm awaiting an answer from them to see what they plan to do

Horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE

The customer service there is HORRIBLE - I have called 6 times in less than a week. - 3 calls because every customer service rep gave me an appliance service rep who no longer supported the dacor products or woruld not service my zip code.

My appliance service locally finally helped me and I called DACOR 2 times later to get the heating element because the DACOR people didn't give me the correct information.

They actually ordered the part for me and got i shipped to me in 24 hours on the 6th call.

Unfortunately it isn't the heating element that is the problem it is my relay board. My Service folks who DO NOT SERVICE DACOR have come out 2 times now - thank goodness they are kind and offering customer service- I called DACOR back a week later and they refused to order the part and have it shipped = which I was told they would do if the heating element didn't solve the problem.

- they have kicked me down the road to another customer service center with yet another 1800 number - They will not help because my product is not under warranty. totally different response from the customer service I received one week ago

So disgusted with this company.

Poor product and customer service

DISAPPOINTED - if I had to use one word to describe our experience with Dacor with not only our $8K+ 42" Built In Refrigerator that is sitting at 70+ degrees in the freezer and fridge sections but SO DISAPPOINTED with their poor customer service and lack of concern resolution tools for their team to even try to help.

They are supposed to have high end luxury products. With that, anyone would expect to have a luxury customer experience.

However, our family has been WITHOUT a working unit since January 6th. That is less than a month from when we had it installed but almost a month from today. We followed the proper protocols to get it repaired. Took almost two weeks to even get a technician.

Once we did, he confirmed it needed to be replaced. We got approval and now learned we have wait another 2-3 weeks to get a separate decision to be made. Requested if there is any way to escalate our concerns but can't even talk to a supervisor for another 24-48 hours...apparently they will call when it is convenient to them. Dacor - have some empathy for your customers!

Imagine paying for a high end product to have no working fridge or freezer for a family of 6. Not sure how this is an acceptable practice.

POOR QUALITY, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

new stove purchased in 1-2020 oct 2020 oven stopped working.Called store for warranty Out dated phone #.s delayed contacting decor 2wks. auth agent given no longer did decor repairs.3wk. repair agent makes app. 4wk oven igniter bad part needs to be ordered. part #'s have changed I went through a second party parts for updated # and part. $30 got me the same part that Decor charges $167 for. Repair agent still waiting for authorized Decor part. Called Customer Service Samsung and Dacor got nothing still not fixed. No Oven through the Holidays P.S. if I change the part myself I void my 3 year stove warranty

Dacor gas range

I recently bought a home that has s 5 burner older gas range with the vent screen that comes up with the press of a button. However the grill that comes up looks dirty with grease on it. What can i do about that. Is there a way to clean, etc. There is no paper work left about range and do not know how old it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Joyce mcrae
